And then, after much shopping (and posting this entry/taking a webcam photo – colour or b&w) I head back to the hostel for my last night of freedom. Tomorrow morning I fly to Toronto, spend the day with Lynne and have an evening flight back to Heathrow – getting back to the mother country (at around 9:30am Monday) after more than two years away.
I am swinging between some very mixed emotions. It is going to be great to see everyone again, but I want to be back in the sunshine. It is nice to not have to worry about work for a couple of weeks, but I know I will have to get a job eventually. I will have to decide where I am living, what I am doing, and it is all a bit daunting at the moment for me.
And then there is Australia and the life I made there. It was so nice, but yet so easy, that I can’t imagine recreating it anywhere else. But, whatever happens over the next few months, it is certainly going to be interesting.
Goodbye world, hello home…
