Breakfast in bed 2, and with nothing planned, we could watch tv & doze for hours. Very enjoyable.

Finally ventured out from the hotel @ 1.30 to Stirling. Had a nice pub lunch near the castle (where paranoid George realized that every Scottish person hates the English, apparently). I persuade her to visit the nearby William Wallace memorial.

Get there at 3.50. It closes at 4.00. Walk up hill anyway, take pics, take in scenery.

Journey back to South Queensferry the ‘top’ way.

Eat at Queen’s Spice in Queensferry and have better meal than ‘anniversary’ meal, followed by Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights & Showgirls!
