This weekend I tried to surprise George with an unconventional lunch on Saturday afternoon. Mo and her mum gave me the idea after we met up the weekend before – on top of the office block of 99 Derry Street in Knightsbridge is a fantastic roof garden! The whole area is split up into distinct sections, with little windy paths, overhanging trellises and more foliage than you can shake a stick at. And then, just when you think you have seen it all, you turn the corner and see the pond filled with flamingos and the largest fish you have ever seen, a little bridge over and more little secluded alcoves.
Sounds lovely, eh?
But, as is usually the case in England, it was raining – and raining hard. Still, the thought was there, and it made for an interesting afternoon!
