BBC NEWS | Sea claims Australian ‘apostle’
Well, this is something that I have been meaning to write about for a little while – and forgot all about until a recent email clearout.
BBC NEWS | Asia-Pacific | Sea claims Australian ‘apostle’
The title of the news story might not necessarily give it away, but one of the famous ‘Twelve Apostles’ – the rock formations off the coast of Victoria, Australia – has finally succumbed to the seas.
That part of the coast was one I felt a lot of affinity for – whenever friends came to visit, one of the must-do trips was a drive down the Great Ocean Road. I must have done the trip at least three or four times in the time I was in Australia, and each time was just as impressive as the last.
I even pseudo-blogged about them (this was before there were all these blogs, of course): The Great Ocean Road, and Big Rocks, two diary entries from my trip around Australia.
Good memories (and bad haircuts) indeed…
