Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Well, I got to see the film at the weekend, and give it two thumbs up – Jonny Depp plays a fantastic Willy Wonka, and the addition of the backstory was an amusing diversion. The rate at which the kids get knocked off in the factory was a little unnerving, but overall the film wasn’t nearly the disappointment I had been led to expect!

Maybe that is the answer – low expectations?
