Macexpo 2005
Another year, another macexpo – which seem to be coming around with alarming speed each year. This year apple had the new iMac and the iPod video to lust over – and the iPod videos did look nice, although I think I can wait on that one.
Usually I go along looking for things to splurge cash on, but there wasn’t really anything this year. Still ended up spending though, firstly on the PWX Twistball, which are two silicon half-spheres which attach to the bottom of your laptop. This time, being suckered in by the salesman actually proved to be a good thing, as these things are pretty handy (as the randomly-translated website will attest to)!
Then, the Airclick USB, which I thought was something I had been after for a year. But I got home and realised what I actually wanted was the Keyspan Remote. So this post can act as something of a reminder.
Software wise, the apple demo of Aperture was amazing – iPhoto on steroids is an understatement, and it’s just a shame that I don’t own any machine powerful enough to run it. Yet.
And then, with a bit of time to spare, I watched a couple of demos from Adobe – some Photoshop, some Illustrator, and all reminding me how little I know about those apps. I just need a little time to explore…
So, know anyone that wants to buy a remote control?
