…but cheer from the rooftops, because I am about to update skinnyjimmy.com with a new post!

This summer has been one that’s been full of music and … stuff. Thankfully, me and G have also finished our respective courses, so we have had a bit more time this time around. It started with winning some tickets to see Beverley Knight at the ICA (who was great, as was the support act, Raul Midon) and then I managed to get some other tickets for Just Jack (surprisingly good live, he was - as was Mr. Hudson & The Library). These were for the iTunes Music Festival, and the venue itself was great - small and intimate, and just a short walk from the office!

We also had a few nice day trips - Brighton with Stewart and Susan; Hyde Park with Gemma and Paul (for George’s birthday horse-riding session from Gemma & Kathy) and another bank holiday dance-fest with Norman Jay at the Notting Hill Carnival. The Innocent Festival came around again, and we spent the day with Polly and Lucy, where we were turned on to jive after watching all the cool kids dancing – so much so that we have started (sporadically) going to the classes at the Bedford in Balham. I am rubbish, not suprisingly, but persistent…

So, what else? Two stag do weekends – one for Neil in Amsterdam, the other for my brother in Nottingham came and went without too much gossip. Lots of fun though! Gemma and Paul got engaged, Dave left the country for Singapore and I got to wander around the inside of the Gala Bingo in Tooting. Much more impressive than it sounds, promise you!

And I finally made all those years of not drinking or buying trendy clothes pay off when I traded in the golf for a new car. And it’s great!

(yup, that’s red leather…!)
