Well, it was the lovely Miss Bond’s birthday last Monday and, to celebrate, my surprise present was a trip to the theatre to see Chicago, with the lovely Denise Van Outen in the lead role.

Never having been to the theatre before, not to see a musical anyway, meant that I enjoyed it too. Up in the Gods, we got a fairly good view (if it wasn’t for that tall bloke in front…) but the theatre – the Adelphi – was stiflingly hot. By eleven, when it finished, the heat had made me really tired and I was glad it was over. Looking back though, I do remember my feet tapping along most of the night.

Can’t have been bad!
