And Wednesday we went to see Macy Gray at the Brixton Academy, for a musical evening. The crowd seemed to be there for the famous ‘slushy’ ones, but some of the most memorable bits were when the band went off into funky mode – but Macy is a damned crazy woman.

It was my first time to Brixton, and as a concert venue, it was pretty special. We had standing tickets in the stalls, and the slightly sloping floor meant that you felt really close to the stage, which made things that much better. The crowd didn’t seem all that impressed though, which was a shame…

And that woman is far too over(under?)sexed, and definitely someone you wouldn’t want to be on the wrong side of. All in all though, a great gig in a great venue…
