On New Spectacles

This might be ruining the surprise for some, but this is the ‘new look’ Jimmy.

For a while now, I have fancied a change of style, away from unobtrusive, small glasses, and towards something that says “yep, I can’t read a newspaper without holding it six inches from my eyes, but I am cool with that and this is how I fix it”, kinda thing.

And you know what?

Big glasses make your head look bigger. Small glasses make me look like I have a pin-head.

So I look back at my old glasses now and think “for so long, why…?” – and I am sure that in five years time, I will look back at these and go “for the love of god…”.

But for now, I feel cool. And happy.
